Remarks:

Dhagpo Kagyu Ling is a large dharma centre in Dordogne in Dordogne, France. It is the place of the Karma Kagyu lineage which the 16th Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje chose in 1975 as his main European seat. He also put Jigme Tsewang Rinpoche in charge as his Euroean representative. Since then the activity has been growing steadily with many seminaries and meditation courses. About 50 dharma groups and centres are affiliated and dharma teaching is given by more than 70 authorized dharma teachers ("lamas") who have mostly accomplished two traditional meditation retreats of three years each. The teachers of this "Dhagpo Kagyu Mandala" meet twice a year under the guidance of the 17th Karmapa Trinle Thaye Dorje and Jigme Tsewang Rinpoche to coordinate their activities in various countries of Europe and abroad. For more information see the website.

The Dhagpo Kagyu Mandala is a member of the EBU since 1991 when Lama Tenzin (François Théault) attended the EBU Annual General Meetings. In recent years (since 2003) Lama Sönam Lhundrup has been Dhagpo's representative to the EBU.
